SHEREE VICKERS
performing ~ street performer
Sheree started doing street theatre in 1993, when
with only £10 to her name and a plane ticket
home to Australia, she braved the West Piazza in
London's Covent Garden and produced a god-awful
show, making a total of 75p in the process.
Since then, she has developed and improved and
can now boast at being one of the few women in
the world to have performed a solo circle show.
Her
"Baked Alaska" impersonation (stripping
down to a madcap corset and setting her boobs
alite as she descends under a flaming limbo pole)
has been performed at festivals and pitches
around the world, not to mention notable
television appearances including THE BIG
BREAKFAST in Winnipeg, Canada, and V.GRAHAM
NORTON for Channel4.

Sheree
has been banned from performing her flaming limbo
routine at both Fanuelle Hall in Boston and at
Granville Island, Vancouver, as there were
complaints against her use of male volunteers. It
wasn't over concern that they might get burned -
it was the fact that they were using their hands
on her (literally) flaming bosoms!
However, she was in good company in Vancouver
that year, as the impro group 'Rock Paper
Scissors' - roving Elizabethan characters
performing Shakespeare, received complaints for
the exaggerated size of their codpieces. Some
people will do anything to get attention!
