SHEREE
VICKERS
teaching ~ SEN resources
Sheree's work with very special people began in
2001 at Catherington School (see THE PMLD PROJECT
below). Since then she has continued to work with
a wide variety of special needs including
emotional and behavioural issues, Autistic
spectrum disorders and complex disabilities.
THE
MIGHTY MEGA-PLOT PROJECT
In 2007/2008 Sheree was involved in a
wonderful project involving SEN, disabled
children and their siblings at DISCOVER in
Stratford, East London. As a writer and
facilitator, Sheree work with this unique group
on the first phase of a year-long project
beginning in January 2008.
During the 10week term, she shaped threads of
narrative developed from the groups original
ideas, which were then be woven together into one
story. The completed stories then fed into a
visual programme during the summer term with the
final phase of the project (involving the group
working with a designer to develop a
sculpture/installation for DISCOVER's
sensory garden) completed in December 2008.
