FALLEN ANGELS is a community arts project for
older people. Sheree has been their regular
facilitator for just over 4years. Aside from
their weekly drama workshops, the group has also
had the opportunity to be involved in a number of
community projects, including:
CREATIVE
WRITING WORKSHOPS with Malika Booker As part of Sutton Theatre's IMAGINE
Festival of Participatory Arts, Fallen
Angels worked with Malika Booker from APPLES
& SNAKES on two very memorable
Creative Writing workshops.
SECOND
FROM LAST IN THE SACK RACE by Michael Birch (from
the novel by David Nobbs) To coincide with the official launch of SAVVY
THEATRE COMPANY, members from FALLEN
ANGELS joined the SAVVY Young Company members in
an inter-generational theatre piece set during
WWII. Many of the older members of the cast were
evacuated during this time and the project used
script, improvisation and filmed memories of all
those involved.
These two groups have already worked together at
the Secombe Theatre, Sutton (see below).
SECOMBE
THEATRE IMPROVISATION SHOWCASE In 2005 and 2006 FALLEN ANGELS joined
forces with other local drama groups at the
Secombe Theatre to present a completely
improvised workshop showcase.
LANDING ON
THE MOON In May 2008, members of
FALLEN ANGELS had the opportunity
to work with SAVVY THEATRE
COMPANY on a Community
Theatre project that not only
reunited the cast of 2nd
From Last In The Sack Race
but gave young and old the chance
to take part in workshops to
devise a short one act play. This
play was then be performed at A TRIO OF TALES evening by those
involved in the project
workshops.
